As we prepare for Resurrection Sunday

We also prepare to celebrate The Lord's Supper

The first Lord's Supper happened on Maundy Thursday, the Thursday before GoodFriday. Christ and His disciples were celebrating passover. Since they were celebrating the Seder, it is understood that Christ and His disciples used unleavened bread.

Here is an easy recipe for Matzah bread

(Please note, this is not a kosher recipe)

Flour for dusting

Olive oil

Salt

1 cup of flour

1/3 cup of water

Preheat oven to 475. Place a cookie sheet near the top of the oven while preheating.

Place one cup of flour in mixing bowl. With a fork, mix water in one tablespoon at a

time. When a dough ball is formed, divide the ball into four even dough balls. Cut the dough in

half to yield eight equal size dough balls. Flatten the dough into five inch cakes on a flour dusted

surface with a flour dusted rolling pin. Poke the cake 25 times with a fork. Flip it over and poke

it another 25 times. Place cakes on the preheated pan and bake for two minutes. After two

minutes, flip cakes over and bake an additional two minutes. Place the baked cakes on a cooling

rack, brush with oil, and salt to taste.
